The site of the camp is about 17 kilometers ‘downstream’ from the Zibadianja Lagoon – the source of the Channel. The treacherous Cape Point promontory a witness to many a shipwreck enhances Cape Town's reputation for dramatic scenery. It's a trip well worth making, the last part up to a lighthouse completed by funicular. Cape Town is an ideal vacation spot for those seeking adventure, relaxation and entertainment.
While on safari in Botswana, you will set out to discover 2 unique concessions within the Okavango Delta tripled with the Linyanti Ecosystem experiencing the best of what Botswana can offer. The first specializes as year round water based concession situated close by game-rich seasonal floodplains and permanent rivers or water channels. As you fly over the Delta, you can see the intricate twisting and turning of the waterways and the ever-changing colors where dry land meets the delta. This part of the Okavango Delta specialized in water based activities experiencing a wide variety of bird species and wildlife including aquatic. The game activities at a water based concession consist of mokoro safari, boating safari, fishing, sunset cruises and optional nature walks. The specialized water based activities give you the opportunity to get a better view of not just the big animals but the smaller insects and birds that contribute to the Okavango’s vast ecosystem. Game spotted: lion, leopard, wild dog, elephant, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, red lechwe and many more. On the mokoro, you get to see the water lilies, frogs, water birds like African Jacana’s, African Fish Eagles, and if you look carefully you will see the Malakite Kingfishers darting between the reeds; there is also a chance that your guide will find the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl.
The second specializes as a land based concession concentrating on vehicle game drives spotting big game supplemented with plains game and avi-fauna. Few land based concessions and camps have accessibility to minimal water sources dependent on the water levels, and only offer only a teaser based water activity or none at all if the water levels are very low. Combining a water based concession with a land based concession in the Okavango Delta will maximize flora and fauna experiences with a myriad of choices of safari activities. The diverse habitat types consist of permanent swamp, seasonal floodplains, acacia woodlands, and mopane / Kalahari appleleaf stands. The region features a wider range of large mammals including a broad complement of antelope, good populations of elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe, and large predators: lion, spotted hyena, leopard, wild dog and cheetah. Bird life is abundant with Okavango specials such as Rosy-throated Longclaw, Black Coucal and Wattled Crane found. The woodlands harbour White-breasted Cuckooshrike and Racket-tailed Roller.
Linyanti is a faultless natural oasis in Botswana with an air of untouched beauty teeming with wildlife. This undiluted environment brings a magical feeling of peace and tranquility and the overpowering feeling of nearness to earthly evolution. The distinct features of the Linyanti are it access to drier land making accessibility to more areas to game drive and its migratory wildlife patterns of the elephants, buffalos and zebras. The area between Linyanti River and Savuti Channel boasts of floodplains, lagoons and woodlands that are home to predators like lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah, hyena, crocodile etc.
